Conafi Prestitò S.p.A. began as a financial and insurance consulting firm in 1988. After a few years Conafi Prestitò specialized in salary-guaranteed loans (CQS), pension-guaranteed loans (CQP) and payment delegations (DP).

The main steps in Conafi’s history are the following:

  • 1990: Advising in organization, legal affairs and contracts for Baxel Informatics and as a general agent for RAS One-fifth of Salary.
  • 1990-1993: Advising as an agent in Piedmont area for Baxel Informatics in the labelled RAS CQS sale.
  • 1994: Advising for Adriatica Finanziaria S.p.A. to convert the leasing company into bank cessionary company; Conafi is also responsible for designing and implementing the CQS system with a turnkey approach and assumes the role of General Agent throughout Italy with rights to credit scoring and document approbation until 2001.
  • 1995: Taking part in the set up of Quinto Service s.r.l., the company which was absorbed by Finemiro S.p.A. (Neos Banca today) as a business unit specializing in the CQS field.
  • 1995: Creating the first franchised network of single-product agents in Italy with the “TuttiPrestiti” brand.
  • 1996: Establishing a professional training school which trains consultants who promote mini sales networks
  • 2001: Converting its legal entity from “Società a responsabilità limitata (S.r.l.)” into “Società per Azioni (S.p.A.)” and entering the Register of Financial Intermediaries, in accordance with Article 106 of The Bank of Italy Regulation (T.U.L.B.). Meliorbanca S.p.A. and Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna S.c.a.r.l. acquire a significant stake in Conafi Prestitò
  • 2002: Starting as a direct agent for Meliorbanca S.p.A. and Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna S.c.a.r.l.
  • 2003: Starting up the project “CQS turnkey for retail Banks”. The Company signs the first mandate with banks such as Banca Popolare di Sondrio and BCC Pordenonese.
  • aprile 2006: Entering the special list of Financial Intermediaries in accordance with Article 107 held by the Bank of Italy.
  • giugno 2006: 100% stake in Italifin, a financial agent and credit broker which aims to expand its clientele through media advertisement.
  • settembre 2006: Applying for the admission to listing of the company’s shares on the Italian Stock Exchange on the Expandi Market.
  • 12 aprile 2007: Conafi Prestitò S.p.A.’s shares are accepted for trading on the Italian Stock Exchange.
